Negelle, 25/07/2011 Humanitarian work is about life: saving lives, improving lives and trying to alleviate the human suffering. Five days ago we leave Addis Ababa for making an assessment mission in the field in Oromiya region. Due to the severe drought in the firsts months of the year pastoralist and agro pastoralist population in the region are running out of livelihood resources. In the last days we have met some government officials, ngos, Ethiopian Red Cross staff in the region and some communities and households affected. We were trying to understand the whole situation and find out the best way to help this people having their lives back. At the end of the day, we came up with an early recovery strategy which, if funded, will allow the most affected communities to keep on coping this crisis time in their own way. De vuelta de los campos de refugiados de Dolo Ado, en el sur de Etiopía, trato de encontrar la mejor manera de transmitiros algunas impresiones de lo que he visto por esta parte del mundo.
